Yes, I guess this does match my experience. I can add that it started failing when I upgraded to 1.42.1 and started working correclty when I reverted to 1.41.6.

I can confirm that both plexmediaserver-1.42.1.10060-4e8b05daf.x86_64.rpm and plexmediaserver-1.42.2.10102-50deb00d9.x86_64.rpm suffer from this issue, but plexmediaserver-1.41.6.9685-d301f511a.x86_64.rpm does not. The latter works, but might expose you to other security threats.
