Newbie -Plex isnt seeing my movie files, but it does see my TV shows

Just installed using package downloaded from Plex for Synology DS1522+. Have hundreds of movies loaded on server, granted permission for PlexServer, but Plex thinks the library is empty… However, it does see and index my TV shows… Permissions are the same for both folders. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Make sure you follow Plex naming and organization requirements.

No mixing movies and tv shows in the same library or directories. They must be separate.

Do not place media files anywhere in the /Plex (DSM 6) or /PlexMediaServer (DSM 7) folder.

Example:

/media <-- not added to any library
  /movies <-- added to movie library
    /Avatar (2009)
      /Avatar (2009).mkv
  /tv shows <-- added to tv show library
    /Band of Brothers (2001)
      /Season 01
        /Band of Brothers (2001) s01e01.mkv
