Plex Pass is enabled
I swear Plex hates me. After two upgrades resulting in really, really odd connectivity behavior, I determined I would be better off rebuilding the entire install. I suspected the DB to be corrupted in some way, and it was faster / easier to start over.
Faster, yes. Easier. Well… no. I am now getting very odd behavior:
- Plex windows client (latest version) does not show my server and its libraries. I cannot see how to add it within the client.
- Navigating directly to the web ui of the server, everything displays properly.
- Remote access is enabled, so generating a link and sending it to a friend, he was able to regain access to my library remotely
- Clicking the link within the remote access settings page on my server will bring me to https://app.plex.tv/desktop which does not show my server and subsequent libraries
- my cell phone’s plex app is able to connect and display the server + libraries
- On the plex windows client, under “Authorized Devices”
- Remote access is enabled: green check
I am at a loss as to where to turn to next. How can I get Plex for windows to see my plex server? How about plex web? Not that I use it much, but it would be nice if even that text worked…
