No access to web app

Sorry, but then clueless here :frowning:

All I now can suggest, is that you

  • Stop PMS
  • Rename Plex Media Serverto Plex Media Server-Old
  • Rename Plex Media Server-New to Plex Media Server
  • Start PMS again

All is now as a new server, and you have to define libraries one by one, scan for medias etc, and user watch state etc. will be gone, as well as any customization you made.
It’s a complete start all over :frowning:

There’s something in the structure, and since I did suspect file system problems before, I am now almost 100 % sure that’s it, and somehow breaking the system!

You can then, in due time, delete the -old directory

And note…

DO NOT ADD all libraries at the same time, and do NOT shutdown PMS until a library scan has completed!

So after a weekends testing I can conclude that this is working. One user had the “no soup for you message” but I noticed after that, that I had to re-share libraries. So either that or him uninstalling and re-installing the app fixed that issue as well.

All in all, I think were ready to mark this as completed

All watched history was reset, though I was able to get that back (for my user account) using Trakt in PKC, which in turn marked everything as watched in Plex. A little tip for anyone with that issue in the future.

Thank you Dane.
