Yes, if by PMS you mean just the app/service. Also, I noticed that since I did this the token has now changed. But I can try it again?
Are you sharing with anybody?, and if not, simply rename the prefs file to .old, and restart PMS.
Then you will have to reclaim afterwards
I have a few family members that I have home user accounts for, that sit on different locations, yes. All using PKC for kodi, how so?
Well, try it, since you can always copy back the old one
Ok, think I did something wrong the last time, because now the script went through as intended:
plex.tv Password:
plex.tv Password Repeated:
IP Address of PMS server: 127.0.0.1
Comparing entered passwords
Comparing entered passwords ok
Validating IP address
Getting PMS Server Identifier
Getting PMS Server Identifier ok
Getting User Token from plex.tv
Getting User Token from plex.tv ok
Getting PMS Claim Token
Getting PMS Claim Token ok
Claiming server
Claiming server ok 200
But unfortunately, the problem persists ![]()
Can I get a fresh set of logs please
Here you go
Logs.zip (6.4 MB)
Just to be 100% sure hereā¦
Owner of the server is VikFlix and thereās a user playing medias named Viktor
Are you 100 % sure you are loggen in on the browser as the correct user?
Yes, as VikFlix otherwise I canāt edit things. āViktorā is what I use to play things on my own PKC.
Then I sadly are sorry, but simply ran out of ideas
All I can suggest now, is sadly to start all over
What does that mean exactly? Reinstall and start fresh? If thatās the case, is there a way to save user watch progress?
Additional information, not sure it may help but here are some other things that can trigger some ideas:
- I am behind a Cisco ASA firewall, could that be somehow related to the issue? This is managed by an external company, and there have been no changes to it in a very long time
- No plex apps; TV, PC, etc work, except PKC (direct play from kodi) and for some reason: iOS for iPhone.
Are you 100% sure?
Yes, Iām sure. They only change this that I request, otherwise no one touches it.
Yes, copy away your database, and after a complete reinstall, and you verified the new server i working, shutdown the server, and override the database with your backup
After that, you sadly have to to a Refresh All Metadata on your Libraries one by one, and I recommend you wait for each one to finish before triggering the next
Hey, ok, so is there a more detailed step by step?
Where do I download the DB from?
Do I then just remove the app in QNAP? Any reboots or anything like that?
Try this instead:
Install this:
Then disable the PMS in the AppCenter
Then Access the created share
In that share, rename the directory named Plex Media Server to Plex Media Server-OLD
Then start PMS again from the AppCenter, and it should be like a new install
If it then works, and you can claim it, then report back
Hey! So some promising news, just tried this (been so busy lately so havenāt had the chance before).
And the server was found and strangely the users are all still there. But of course, no libraries, and I donāt know what would happen with the watched progress if I just tried to re-add them.
But it actually found the server
Whats the next step?
Users are there due to they are located at plex.tv
- Stop server from AppCenter.
- Rename directory
Plex Media ServertoPlex Media Server-NEW - Rename directory
Plex Media Server-OLDtoPlex Media Server - Copy file
Plex Media Server-NEW/Preferences.xmlto thePlex Media Serverdirectory, and override the file there - Start PMS again from AppCenter
Back to not working
Feels like were close though? Whats the next step?
