No Add Library link shown in settings

Server Version#: Synology DSM 7.0.1-42218
Player Version#: 1.25.2.5319-7000

No ‘Add Library’ Link under settings…

Ideas please!

Thank you

Mind sharing some more information about where/how you experience this?
Is this a new setup?
Where exactly are you looking for this option?

Look on your home > select Pinned>>select the + add library next to your server name (1) and add library type (2):

Thanks

I don’t see a Pinned option:

Thanks, It’s a clean reinstall in an attempt to solve various local network issues. I’m trying to set up libraries, but the option does not seem to be there under Settings:

Make sure you access your fresh install locally:

  1. using the server’s local IP
  2. being in the same local network / subnet

If you’re on the same machine, open http://127.0.0.1:32400/web; if you’re on a different machine on the same local network, use http://[PMS IP address]:32400/web instead.

That should bring up the setup wizard which lets you name your server and link it to your Plex account. Once the server is linked to your account you can also open it easily from other Plex apps.

Thanks,

No setup wizard but at install I used a claim code. Here’s what I get from a machine on the local network where synology/plex is:

Are you using the same account you used to create that claim code when accessing the server?

I think so. Perhaps I should start again…

As an aside I really wish that Plex on local networks did not require a sign in … it makes things more complicated than they need to be.

Thanks

@samwells Did you manage to resolve this?

Just had the same issue after a new router change and although most devices would playback, the main one I use wouldn’t, so in trying to fix that problem (update\reinstall etc) I now have the same problem as you and now no device can be used as I have no library available and no way to add it

Did you Install the package using the Plex Claim Token method?

If you’ve attempted this and still no success,

  1. Stop Plex
  2. Navigate into PlexMediaServer/AppData/Plex Media Server
  3. Right-click Logs → Compress to Logs.zip
  4. Download the ZIP file
  5. Attach please

We’ll look and see what isn’t communicating correctly.

I have tried to follow both the easy or full method, though neither seem to allow me to follow every step as there is either a menu option missing or the expected outcome doesn’t occur (I am not ruling out user error here, though have had plex running with no issue and 2 nas changes for quite a while until this)

The only recent change was a new router, which defaulted to a new subnet though after changing the IP settings, the nas worked fine (could watch plex on tablet and phone) until trying to watch plex on the TV last night

Any pointers would be a great help as have tried manually installing the newest synology version as well as rolling back to the version that I was using.

Logs attached too - Thanks

No not yet…

Not heard back on the logs I posted so put it all to one side for a while.

@samwells

Managed to sort mine

I have 2 Synologys and my media based one simply sits on my home network.
While updating some apps on my other Nas I noticed that I wasn’t getting the same requests on the one with Plex.

I have reset the Network settings and now it seems to work again.

Hope you have some joy with yours
