No artwork for new media

For some reason my Plex Media Server is no longer displaying artwork for any new media I add (Movies and TV Shows). Whenever I add new files, Plex is adding it to my library, matching the content, and updating all of the metadata except for the poster/artwork.

For each piece of media I have followed the Plex naming convention and I am providing my own artwork (named poster.jpg). I have been using the same workflow for years without issue, but for some reason it has suddenly stopped working.

When I manually refresh the metadata, Plex will then correctly update and display the artwork for my media. It is also managing to automatically get and display the season artwork for TV shows, just not the poster for the overall show.

I would really appreciate any advice for fixing this if anyone has any ideas.

For reference, all new media looks like this on my homepage until I manually refresh the metadata.

If I select any of the new TV Shows, then I can also see that their poster is missing.
