I am running a Windows 10 system with a Asus Tuf Gaming B360 Motherboard and an Intel I5 Processor that I built specifically for Plex. Just upgraded computer from Sandisk 120GB 2.5" SSD to Western Digital Black 500 GB M.2 NVME SSD mounted directly to motherboard. Was working fine before. Now, Plex app still shows all the media, but when I try to play a video, it tells me that the file cannot be found. It says to make sure that the file exists and that the drive is mounted. Really don’t want to delete plex and reinstall
The drive letter of the location of the media must have changed. Open a plex browser, find a movie that will not play, click the triple dot, and click on Get Info. At the top of this new window, Plex will display where it THINKS the media is at. Compare the entire path for the media to where the file is on your own computer in an explorer window. Is it the same?
If it changed, Manage Library > Edit the library, click the Add Folders menu selection and add the correct file location. LEAVE THE OLD LOCATION FOR NOW. Tell the library to Scan Library. Once it completes, you can Manage Library > Edit the library again and remove the old location. Scan once more. Empty Trash.
Check to see if the movie plays.
