No fix match or fix incorrect match option for new show

I have removed and re-added the show, rescanning in between, I’ve emptied trash, cleared bundles, and this 1 show I have keeps finding the wrong year show, assigning it a picture, and not giving me the option to fix it. I thought this option would always be there for a show, which it usually is, but for this 1 show I have it’s not. It’s a really old show, Flash Gordon from 1936, but Plex keeps thinking it’s the cartoon from 1996. I have the year in the title (Flash Gordon 1936) and I’ve got the episodes in the right naming format (season 1/show with s01e01 etc), but it just will not give me the option to change it once it’s set it.

  1. Do you also have the show from 1996 in your library?

  2. Where are you looking for the Fix Match command? It is only available on the top level of the show, not on the Season or Episode level.

  3. Did you do this to prevent influence from embedded metadata? If not, do it.
    Go to

  • Settings - Server - Agents - Shows - TheTVDB

In there, grab the line ‘Local Media Assets’ with your mouse and drag it downwards, so it ends up being at the bottom of the stack of active agents.
Repeat the same under

  • Settings - Server - Agents - Shows - TheMovieDatabase
  • Settings - Server - Agents - Movies - Plex Movie

  1. Please show your actual file names, inclusing the full folder structure you are using.

  2. After renaming files and folders, the Plex Dance must be performed with all steps in the right order, or it is not effective.
