My videos are sorted into folders locally. At https://app.plex.tv/desktop#! I can no longer find any option to view them by folders. None of the above nonsense works.

I had the problem and after much consternation I found that if I used “app.plex.tv/web/app” to access my server then I had no folder view available. But if I used “192.168.x.xxx:32400/web/” (The direct address of my server) then the folder view shows up just fine.
I make no guarantees for others but that is what worked and continues to work for me.
This issue has already been reported as a bug.
