Same error for me as well. The new update killed the connection to the media server on the XBox One S. Other apps on different devices are fine (until you update them too). Please fix this ASAP. Plex is now no longer usable on this device.

Hi im having the same issue,this xbox one new update has ruined my connection to my server,it was working fine yesterday on the previous ver,watched it all night downstairs,my wife turned the pc on upstairs then the xbox one downstairs no joy,ive come home and logged out from the pc server then the xbox one …then back in on the server first then the xbox one,i get the same as kingshillbilly’s pic on this post about the server.
plex and microsoft you have an issue to fix ASAP.
at the moment im using plex on the ps4 pro,which is next to the xbox one and uses the same server/windows 10 pc server on the same internet connection and works fine.
so plex technical it is an issue with your new app not us users.
I have the same issue too. Was looking forward to trying the new UI on the xbox app…but can’t connect to the media server. Tried manual servers, enabling remote access etc. Can’t get anything to work!!
Disappointing! Please get this fixed Plex ASAP!
When I try the manual server I get the message “No soup for you!” Thanks!
Update: just happened to restart my media server (again) to give it one more try…and it seems to be working now. That’s very strange as I’d done multiple restarts before and they didn’t solve the issue.
I’m having the issue where servers that are shared with me, I can no longer connect to.
I go the list and I see them. But when I click on the server, nothing happens. It just has a green icon next to the server and says “remote” next to it
When I try Plex on my phone, it works no problem.
I was just using the app on Xbox One recently and no problem. Then this update happened and screwed everything up.
Same issue, says server is unavailable on xbox one, after getting the new update. Yet works fine still on my tablets and PCs.
If you’re affected by server connectivity issues would you mind PMing me with your Xbox Live account email and I can get you a test build with a possible fix.

The new build didn’t fix my issue, but changing the Xbox One Plex App setting to allow insecure connections to a local server worked.
Where is that setting? I can’t see it, I added my server to the manual list and it’s now ‘nearby’ but not local
I had the same issue and solved it by going on plex (Xbox) to settings > Main > Allow Fallback to Insecure Connections > On same network as server.
However, my solution took longer to resolve, as Plex is now using the Google Single Sign On, on the Media Server login. I instinctively chose it, inadvertently changing my settings from a previously used Hotmail account. So I had to resent all the client applications (Xbox , iPhone etc.) to use the same account, for the aforementioned solution to work. (I thought I would stick with Google SSO as it’s quicker login method than my Hotmail account).
