The button to add movies to the watchlist disappeared. There’s no menu option neither, so now it’s impossible to add new movies to the watchlist.
I read online and the only solution is to change the agent to the Plex Movie agent, and then refresh the metadata. However, I’m already using the Plex Movie agent.
The watchlist worked perfectly before, only noticed the bug today but never changed the agent nor anything else affecting this function, at least nothing that I’m aware of.

I have the same issue when using Plex from Chrome browser. I notice I can still have button available on Android phone App though. The last update seemed to create this problem. I am running Plex on a windows server.
I started a scan and nothing changed. Refreshed the web page itself and the icon appeared.
I did my TV library first. Movies still had no icon until I changed setting, scanned and refreshed browser.
Using app.plex.tv in Chrome is only way I use Plex on laptop.
Exactly. I check the “include adult content” box under advanced in edit library settings and refresh browser and icon disappears. I uncheck the box and refresh browser and watchlist icon is back. Again, using app.plex.tv in chrome. Thanks again for the help !!!
THANK YOU!!! Disabling “adult content” did work!! Specifically, editing the library and under Advanced I unchecked the “include adult content” box and refreshed chrome browser. The icon is back. I do not have any adult content in my libraries though.
Unchecking the option “Include adult content” and then refreshing the metadata and the browser page, allowed to add movies to the watchlist again. Thanks.
That being said, it would be good to be able to add movies to the watchlist even if libraries allow adult content, because the setting is also blocking the addition of regular, for-all-audiences, movies.
It seems odd to have made this functionality disappear. Is Plex not able to determine if something is adult content and only on that item disable the watchlist option? Having to disable a setting and refresh all metadata just to get back the watchlist functionality is weird. I guess I checked the adult setting thinking it was needed for R rated movies.
