Hello ! I cant find any media servers on my PS4. I got my mediaserver all connected and lined up. i can even see it on my network.
But my PS4 will not accept it. iam trying with the pin and restarting router and comp+´ps4.
But nothing. Where can i find on the Ps4 app where to log in? and where to see what user its connected too? i had 2 users. but i removed 1 of em. i really need some assistance.
Thanks
Barboosa
Is your Media Server signed in with your Plex Account? Settings>server>general
https://support.plex.tv/hc/en-us/articles/200878643-Sign-in-to-Your-Plex-Account
entering the pin that shows on your PS4 at https://plex.tv/pin is how you sign in the PS4 app
yeah ive tried everything the noserver site tells me. it cant find any media server. ive been trying whole day yesterday and now today.
ive tried with restarting routers. my ps4. i can find my media server on the local network. but my ps4 cant find any media server. and iam logged in here.
and iam a plex pass user.
Thanks
Barboosa
have you looked at your routers settings making sure its fowarding ports correctly iv seen many times on here the problem was the router.
what ports do i need to open then? for the forwarding? cause as i said i had 2 users.. the first user worked perfectly. but then that user suddenly disapeared. so i had to do a new one. and now its not working
btw i would like some support for my other account. i cant get in to it. but i think i bought plex pass. iam trying to do password recovery but it aint happening. Skywalker was the name of that account.
Thanks
Barboosa
The router settings should have nothing to so with this.
Barboosa is the server signed into with your Barboosa account or not?

you can rest the password for your other account here https://plex.tv/users/password/new
for ps4 they do bigwheel mutiple times i see people get the ps4 app working messing with router settings and my friend i had to mess with his router befor the ps4 could see the servers for some reason. Some older routers dont work very well with UPnP and need ports fowarded manualy or set the pc with plex server as dmz.
he is not trying to access it away from home though. so port forwarding should have nothing to do with this.
when you sign into the server it saves the local ip address of the server computer to your Plex account.
when you sign into the PS4 app with the same plex account it reads that IP address then it knows where to find the server locally
yeah the account is signed in with barboosa on my comp. its linked. but still no media server..
about that other account. the thing is that ive tried to reset the password. but the mail isnt getting anything. but i know that i paid for that account as well. but i cant access it.
So i should leave my router alone?
I still need help. it still cant connect to my PS4
can you take a screen shot of the Settings>Server>General ( cover up your email if is there)
it should look like this

note I am not talking about the sign in to Plex Web at the top right
This was helpful in fixing it for me when I had the same issue.
https://support.plex.tv/hc/en-us/articles/204604227
yeah ive tried everything but it isnt working.. :(
the user i had before that was working really nice.. but now.. i cant even connect..
it got me thinking if it still was linked to my other plex media server from the other user?
iam logged in as barboosa.. but the files from my other user is still there.. does it matter?
Hi there, I too am having the no media servers found issue with my PS4. Both devices are connected to my internal private subnet and I have confirmed there are no connectivity issues from the PMS to the PS4. I am able to access my PMS from other clients on the network (Android, Chromecast). I have tried removing and re-adding both my server log in and the PS4 device to no avail. I can definitely see the devices in the list on the server.
Any other suggestions? I was hoping with this to retire the htpc but I guess the old clunker will have to keep going for a while..
See attached screenshots for server page and devices.
Same shizzle today. does the "remote access" has anything to do with it?? cause as u can see its a ! instead of a "ok" sign.. its really getting annoying.. :(
that usualy needs a ok for the plex app to work on ps4 least everytime i had a problemn it was cause of that.
if remote access is the issue then you will need to set up port forwarding in your router.
If you go to
https://plex.tv/api/resources?includeLite=1&X-Plex-Token=YOURTOKEN
replace YOURTOKEN with your actual token , which you can find out how to get here ( do not share your token with us and make sure to X it and your external IP out like i did below if you paste it here )
This list all your servers and ones that are shared with you that have been signed in. see that your server is listed and it also list the internal local IP of your server you should see something like this the line that ends with local="1" is your servers local IP

I am also curious if anyone has tried totally deleting the app from the PS4 and reinstalling it.
I have the same problem. I can not access to my server. I installed another server on another computer and I have the same problem.
it's strange because I can access my server from any device except Playstation. I can access to my server from PS4 if I use ce web browser but I prefer the app... :(
I tried to deleting the app from the PS4 and reinstalling it but same issue.
I have this problem since last Friday (4 days).

EDIT :
Problem solved : my PS4 was in bridge mode with the router. I disabled bridge mode and it works ! I had to enable bridge mode to avoid connecting problems in GTA Online.
