I’m having the same issue after today’s update. Running Plex in a docker on Linux.
Just to clarify:
After the update this morning, new items added to the Plex library have no metadata added. For movies, I can select cover art, and it matches properly, but no other metadata will appear. With new TV shows, same problem. I recently added Jeopardy, but for this one, no posters appear to be available.
Don’t know docker either. Tried but was too problematic for me.
Would it be a docker problem? Isn’t the docker using the standard Linux release? I’m fairly new to the Linux game.
I think I’m having this same issue too. Metadata stopped working, and manual searches fail pretty much instantly. Checking through the logs, and then validating by connecting to the container confirms it - the Plex container has broken DNS. Other containers on the system are able to resolve domains fine, the Plex container does not. Plex also complains that it cant’ be accessed remotely, despite serving remote streams while doing so.
Additional datapoint: deleting the docker container and recreating it with DNS servers of 1.1.1.1 and 1.0.0.1 explicitly defined, instead of pulling from my host’s resolv.conf (which uses those same servers) fixed the issue.
Interesting. Mine has been available remotely the whole time, and the searches do not fail. It matches correctly, but then the metadata simply does not download. It seems like the posters do, but it will not automatically match the poster art to a movie, you have to manually select it. There is no date, information, synopsis, ratings, etc. on any of my new downloads, though everything is there for older downloads.
Just for good measure I did adjust the DNS servers to your specs but it did not make a difference. Still the same issue.
My metadata has stopped working once I downloaded the update and im on a Macbook.
I’m using a docker in Linux, so it seems to be across multiple platforms.
Having the same issue with last update.
Did you ever find a solution to this?
