This is my first post so I’m sorry if the format is incorrect.
I can’t seem to get any metadata for movies, I have metadata for TV Shows (Although I have only used one as a test) Any movie that is put in my movie library just gets a random frame from the movie as a poster and thumbnail. The movie is always in its own folder and is formatted “Title (year)”. I’ve also tried manually “matching” which nearly never shows anything, but when it does turn up a result which matches my movie, does nothing when clicked. I have also tried re - installing plex.
I don’t know how to decipher the logs so I have attached them hoping someone more knowledgeable may find the issue.
The PMS is running on a Raspberry Pi 2b running DietPi - Plex was directly installed from the DietPi Launcher.
I have attached screenshots of my “Agents” page and Library:
There seems to be an issue with your network setup. Plex is failing to connect to the internet in order to download that metadata.
From what I could find in the logs, Plex appears to be matching the movie successfully (it correctly identifies the movie as https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0443453/).
Do you have some kind of reverse firewall that blocks Plex from speaking to certain backend systems? (or anything fancy about your network setup)
I do have Windscribe VPN setup on the pi which does include a firewall but as far as I know, its just to make sure that data only transmits through the VPN.
After searching a while about Windscribe and Plex there does seems to be some issues relating to Plex metadata - ill try a few methods to fix it and come back to you
