I’m using plex since 5 Years or longer and since 5 days i cannot update the metadata for movies. So i cleanes up my plex installation and did a fresh installation, but everything i tried to get poster or even a description didn’t worked. So i hope you can help me.
I’m using the moviedb scrapper with localized titles (I’m living in austria -> so sorry for my bad english) I can screenshot my current settings, but there is nothing special.
After reading the log files and searching on reddit i found this:
You have to enter the server IP address in settings with (showing advanced settings) under:
[network] [list-of-ip-addresses-and-networks-that-are-allowed-without-auth]
I set my IP from local network card and restart the server. Voila, after update the metadata all movies are recognized correct with poster and description.
If somebody have same troubles, try this solution.
