No movie trailers or extras

I just subscribed to plex pass, mainly so i have trailers and extras for my movies. But none of my movies, including recent ones, are showing either. I’ve enabled ‘Include Cinema Trailers from new and upcoming movies in theatres’ and ‘Include Cinema Trailers from new and upcoming movies on Blu-ray’ and selected 'Choose Cinema Trailers from ’ ‘All Movies’ and restarted plex server but nothing - not on web app or home theatre.

Why don’t I see any movie trailers or extras?

You will need to “refresh” your movies library

The info about which trailers are available for your particular movies is not in your library yet.
Preparations:

(if there is talk about ‘Freebase’ in the help documents, substitute it with ‘Plex Movie’)

You will need to set some options in your Agent configuration:
Settings - Server - Agents - Movies - Plex Movie
click on the little ‘cog wheel’ on the line ‘Plex Movie’
activate the options:

  • Find trailers and extras automatically (Plex Pass required)
  • Use red band (restricted audiences) trailers when available

then switch to
Settings - Server - Agents - Movies - TheMovieDatabase
and make sure the line ‘Plex Movie’ is ‘checked’ (you don’t need to move it up or downwards)

Now go into your movie library and pick a movie that is internationally known and Refresh it.
Wait at least 2 minutes.
Repeat the process with ~ 2 more movies.
If they all got trailers and extras, you can refresh the whole library (give it time, this may take longer if your library has several hundred movies in it.)
