No Play Trailer Button

Server Version#: 1.12.2.4964
Player Version#: 3.106.3

Hi,
I have added manually movies trailers in my library and the play trailer button was appeared and worked probably in all my devices , I have to disable and enable Plex on my home cloud due to network issue and when I refreshed my library. Plex finished downloading Metadata, I even restarted the Server, but all my Clients (iOS, Web App, smart TV) do still not show the “Play Trailer” Button, however the Extras trailers appear. Can anyone help me?

If debug logs are needed let me know so I can try to reproduce and collect logs.

Thanks

At which position is the line ‘Local Media Assets’ under
Settings - Server - Agents - Movies - Plex Movie
and
Settings - Server - Agents - Movies - TheMoviedatabase
?

Topmost or somewhere lower?

Just to confirm a suspicion I have:
move ‘Local Media Assets’ to the top,
then ‘Refresh Metadata’ of an affected movie.

Wait 3 minutes, then re-enter the pre-play screen of that movie.

You are Super Plex Man
When I did that ; it works and the button appear!

Yes, but I don’t consider this a fix.
There is a good reason to have the LMA at second position: to avoid Plex reading embedded metadata from mp4 files.

I will file this as a bug.

Ok, any advise from my side to do now regarding avoid Plex reading embedded metadata from mp4 files.

Simply remove them from your mp4 / m4v files.

Kindly explain how to remove them , and what do you mean in which I should simply remove from mp4/ m4v

The answer depends on your used operating system. And there are always several options on how to do it.

Here is a general guide for Windows: https://superuser.com/questions/767544/how-to-remove-title-and-other-metadata-from-video-files

Ok, what should I do , I’m using windows 10 to avoid that
I have noticed that the movies are written with dots in its name

The method described in the link above for Windows 7 works in Windows 10 as well.

The file name has nothing to do with it. These are embedded metadata which are inside the file itself.
