Hello, I am pulling my hair out trying to figure out why I suddenly do not have remote access capability for my Plex server. I am running a Mac Mini with Bootcamp and Windows 10. Months ago, I had it running fine on the Windows 10 side, ASUS RT-AC66U router with Spectrum modem (just providing internet connection to router); something happened where I couldn’t get back into the Windows side, so I switched to using the Mac side, no issues getting the server to be remotely accessible there either.
Fast-forward, I moved, have Fios now, but same ASUS RT-AC66U router, settings on it have not changed, have all WiFi on the Fios modem/router disabled and just have it providing internet for the ASUS router. Plex server still worked fine, still remotely accessible from Mac side after move. Recently got Windows 10 reinstalled via Bootcamp, tried setting up new Plex server, now suddenly no remote accessibility. Nothing else has changed other than switching over to Windows 10 and creating a new server there for it. I’m basically familiar with networking but not overly, I’ve tried setting a static IP on the PC itself for the wireless network IPV4 card, I’ve tried setting Port Forwarding for 32400 on both the ASUS Router and just to be safe, on the Fios modem as well; I’ve even set Port Triggering on both the ASUS Router and Fios modem as well, nothing seems to make a difference. I’ll hit “retry”, it’ll come back with it being fully accessible, then a few min later it’ll switch back to red/not remotely accessible no matter what I try. Help!!!
