No remote access with new Google Fiber router

I just got Google Fiber along with their router and I’ve been unable to get remote access to work. I gave my Plex server a static IP and then made a port forwarding rule but it still didn’t work.

are you reserving IP so your server computers never changes? from what i am reading here you should be using the single port setting rather than range. https://support.google.com/fiber/answer/4650342

did you enter what you used as external port in Plex remote access setting in Manually specify port field?
