No servers found??

After installing a newer version of Plex yesterday, I receive the message: “No servers found”. I have tried signing out and in from the Cloudgate as well as my laptop (the server). I have disabled the VPN and proxies. Nothing helped. I’m at a loss what to do

Have you tried http://127.0.0.1:32400/web/index.html#

Got the same problem. Web client cannot find any servers. PMS has the newest Version. Tried reinstalling by “repair” and “un- and reinstall”. Still have the same problem.

same issue, my roku devices work just fine. But my LG TV can not find the server after most recent update that was rolled out

I have Roku 2. I added the Plex app several months ago when I got my Roku. Just within the last 3 days, suddenly, I am getting the same message “cannot connect with server” try later, something like that. I’ve downloaded, a newer version of Plex, after uninstalling the previous. I am connected as far as my Plex account online, but the server won’t connect. All I have is my laptop, and my Roku 2.

I don’t understand the whole concept of Plex yet, even though it’s been working for me, and I’ve watched a lot of movies from my library. After I did completely uninstall, and reload new version, it came right up, showing all my movies etc. Then 2 hours later I signed in to see if it was still working and it was gone again.

Any help is appreciated:) denise

could be firewall issue
could be DNS Rebind protection on the router
could be client and server signed in to different plex.tv accounts

For the firewall on the server machine, need to allow the program files for plex media server (the .exe files) and need separately tcp inbound rule for local port 32400 (remote port and IP = any)

For DNS Rebind issues you can try with plex client settings changed to allow fallback to insecure connections

Test the server directly through browser on the server machine by going to url http://localhost:32400/web
Check what account it is signed into (settings / general) and compare that to the client apps

To get logs - see https://support.plex.tv/hc/en-us/articles/200250417-Plex-Media-Server-Log-Files for the server
For the client it depends which one it is - see the relevant sections on the support web site http://support.plex.tv

Same issue here, Apple TV. Works otherwise. All settings are in line so far.

Same here, but it’s a little different. I have 4 users setup. My primary account and 3 other accounts. On AppleTV, all users except the primary can sign in with 4 digit pin and server is always found. Try it with the primary/admin account, no dice. No Servers Found.

I can see 4 Plex Home users + your main admin account parsoli
Could you restart the server and retry and note down the time when Apple TV user parsoli does not find the server and get the Plex Media Server.log uploaded here together with indication as to when it was

See this support page for server log files https://support.plex.tv/hc/en-us/articles/200250417
I am not asking at this point for Apple TV logs - server might be sufficient

I fixed my own problem by finally removing and re-installing the Plex app on the Apple TV. However I hit this bug, I’ll never know. But clearing out the Apple TV app and all of its preferences did the trick.
