On both my Nvidia shieldtv and Android phone I cannot change the sorting or filtering in any library view mode. The interface has disappeared.
Plex Media Server version?
There is a problem with the current Android clients (v8.1 & possibly older) and older PMS releases. Based on other posts, users running PMS 1.14 & earlier definitely see the issue.
A fix is in the v8.2 beta releases (link below).
You can update to the current PMS version, wait until the fix is available in mainstream releases, or sideload the beta client.
If you side-load an Android app (beta or otherwise) you no longer receive automatic updates for that app. To begin receiving automatic updates delete the installed app and load the current release from the applicable app store.
If you sign up for beta release you will receive them via the Google Play store. They are sent to your devices instead of the non-beta releases.
Note that the application may not be processed immediately. Based on other posts I’ve read, applications are processed when the next beta release starts. The date has not been announced (Plex does not announce such information).
