Played Status Not Updated in Library View on Android TV

Hi

If you use the Plex app on Android TV with the view mode set to “Library” instead of “Recommended”, after watching something or using the Mark as Played button it doesn’t update in this “Library” view until you navigate to a different library and then navigate back again. I’ve tested this on multiple players and now signed up for the beta app as well so I’ve tested with the latest stable and also beta versions but it hasn’t been fixed yet unfortunately.

Under the “Recommended” view this works fine. I also tested the app on my Android phone and it also works fine there, so it seems to be specific to Android TV.

Could this be fixed please? It makes using the Android TV app a little painful at the moment.

I’ve tested all the beta Android TV player updates since this post but unfortunately none have fixed this issue. Can anyone take a look?

I know it’s easily reproducible as I have 3 NVidia Shields all exactly the same so it’s nothing specific to a single player.

Thanks for the bug report, this is a known issue but unfortunately as you mentioned it hasn’t been fixed in any of the 8.4.x releases of the app. We’ll try to get it fixed soon.

Just tested the latest release Android 8.6.0.20028-beta which changes the whole look of the media pages but unfortunately still doesn’t fix this bug. So somehow this was missed and the overview screen doesn’t update still.

There’s so many updates to the UI on the Android TV version but unfortunately still no fix to the library view. Tested now up to Android 8.7.0.20568-beta.
