Everything works except there aren't any thumbnails.

Any ideas?

Cheers,

Edit: I'm using unblock-us as well

You are using a public IP for your PMS and not its local one, it s not a supported configuration.

Search the forum for a workaround but you will expose your PMS to anyone on the Internet who wishes to suck up your bandwidth.

f00b4r... as long as enable_plexgdm is True, the ip_pms doesn't really matter - well, there even is no good reason to change it :-). PlexConnect will connect to the address returned by PlexGDM, nothing else.

In the beginning ip_pms was also used as a fallback in case of a negative GDM outcome. But I think, this is long gone...

Baa that is true if they have a local server.

It may be that they do not as they put in a public IP address and are suffering symptoms that you get when connecting through a public IP.

To get your thumbs working and direct play. I had to in PMS settings add my external ip I was coming from with the atv.

Thanks guys for your time.

Where do I get my local IP or external IP address?

Thanks guys for your time.

From a computer located on the same network as your atv http://www.whatismyip.com to get the external ip you are connecting from.

However if your atv is already connected directly to the internet via external ip you can just check in the network settings on the atv.

Can't seem to get the right IP.

I've tried my router's 10.0.1...etc

External 71.246....etc

Internal 173.212...etc

Tried putting external into PMS web manager url.

Not a big deal I s'pose.

I noticed you said you were using the “Baa Plexconnect.app”. Not really sure what that means. Have you tried using the the most recent Github version?

Also, the IP is usually that of the computer running Plexconnect which I get from going into the Network PreferencePane of OSX System Preferences.

You can also use your DYDNS address or similar in there, if you have one.

It means never having to alter it if you IP changes ;)

Credit to M. Latte for checking that one out :)
