As the Fall Season is starting for some stations this week, I noticed that the shows in the “Recordings > Recording Priority” section displays “no upcoming airings” for all shows schedules except for two shows (9-1-1 and Biz Kid$). Dancing with the Stars and Magnum P.I. season premier came on last night and Plex didn’t record the shows. Just updated to the the newest server version on Windows 10 but majority of the shows still show “no upcoming airings”. For instance, NCIS Season premier comes on tonight but it shows “no upcoming airings” in the “Recordings > Recording Priority” section.
Please turn off Verbose logging unless specifically asked by a Plex Employee to turn it on when they are assisting in diagnosing a problem with your Plex configuration. Debug logging is all that is normally needed, Verbose logging throws too much extra crap for lack of a better word in the logs and makes diagnosing most issues harder as the logs typically cycle through in minutes instead of hours/days.
With that said your logs do show several messages that indicate why the epsiodes are not scheduled to record:
Sep 25, 2018 10:48:16.537 [9716] DEBUG - DVR:Subscription: The item 'NCIS - E8 - Designated Target' was not high enough quality, ignoring.
Sep 25, 2018 10:48:16.537 [9716] DEBUG - DVR:Subscription: The item 'NCIS - E10 - Corporal Punishment' was not high enough quality, ignoring.
Sep 25, 2018 10:48:16.537 [9716] DEBUG - DVR:Subscription: The item 'NCIS - E14 - Internal Affairs' was not high enough quality, ignoring.
Appears you have the resolution set to HD Only and the episode information in the EPG does not indicate that the episode is HD.
I am having the same problem. All my upcoming recordings are not scheduled cause since the latest update plex is not recording the HD only episodes. Please provide a fix or work around as soon as possible. Thanks,
Hi @velez05e
I manually edited each recording and set the resolution to “Any” and then went into the advanced settings and changed the “Limit To Channel” from Any to the HD channel from my provider.
I got the workaround from stang9950 in the following thread:
