First off, I would like to congratulate Plex for a wonderful media server across all platforms. It works brilliantly and I love it.
My issue today is that Plex will only load 4 episodes from the 23 episodes The Streets of San Francisco Series 02.
Seasons 01 and 03 load perfectly with correct metadata.
I have tried loading by using a new folder, but, even though, only Series 02 is included in this new folder Plex server inexplicably loads Series 01 and the same 4 episodes from Series 02.
Also, Plex will not load Mannix Series 02. If I try and ‘match’ the season Plex deletes the season.
All other seasons load perfectly.
Take the title as it is used on TheTVDB. If there is something in parentheses, take that too. If the title contains invalid characters (depends on your file system), like § : % *, simply leave them out.
Check the naming and the folder structure of your show. Name the top folder of the show exactly after the title on TheTVDB. No abbreviations. No additional subfolders. No aliases. Add the (year) in parentheses of when episode 1 of season 1 of this show was aired.
Name the episode files according to the above linked naming guide. Use the same title as for the top folder. Show's Title (year) - s01e01 - additional info.ext (‘- additional info’ can be left out)
After you corrected the naming and folder structure, perform the Plex Dance with all files for this show.
I’m pretty certain my naming convention and folder structure is correct as I have successfully added many TV series to the server. I will try adding the year for each season.
