Thanks .

You can’t use a FQDN when claiming the server.

May 25, 2023 17:49:16.607 [140294719757112] DEBUG - Request came in with unrecognized domain / IP ā€˜reztock.synology.me’ in header Host; treating as non-local

You can claim it using the ā€œPlex Claim Tokenā€ method (uninstall only + reinstall)

-or-

do the following:

  1. Close your browser fully.
  2. Open fresh
  3. Open a Private Browsing window
  4. Open the Syno - http://192.168.50.123:32400/web (think this is the right IP addr)

Now it will walk you through it.

As i don’t know how to use the Plex Claim Token so i opened a private browsing window and login to the plex but keep looping. i have no idea and attached the log for invesgitation.

The Plex Claim Token is a menu option when you install the app on DSM 7.

Coordinated with you and your browser, it gets a ā€˜claim token’ from plex.tv for your account.

It then goes to plex.tv on your behalf with that claim token and installs your account credentials in your DSM 7 Plex server.

It’s pretty slick

Complete with screenshots and instructions, here’s the How-To from the Syno FAQ

Follow this in a separate browser window and it will get it done for you.
