"Not available outside your network" AND server isn't even showing up on the port forwarding page?

I had another thread about the “Not available outside your network” problem, and it seemed to have been fixed, but it is a recurring problem and never seems to have a permanent solution for some reason.

I have looked through the forums for help, looked all over the web, tried to figure this out myself, but this is above my knowledge. I am starting a new thread because while I am having the same problem about the server not being available outside of the network, I am also seeing that the Plex server isn’t even showing up. I tried to follow the instructions I got last time but I’m at a loss because I don’t know what to do if it isn’t even showing up in the Port Forwarding page.

You can see in this first picture that it says “Plex Media Server”, this was from a while ago and I was able to solve the problem with some help.

Now this is from two days ago and I don’t know what to do.

It has been almost a week and I haven’t gotten a reply… (Which is weird since I usually get replies right away) So, I’m going to bump this thread and hopefully someone will help me.

Hello

give me some more information.

I’m… not sure I can be any more specific than I already was?

The port forwarding in the first screenshot were apparently created automatically.
Delete them.

Then click on ‘Add’ and define a portforwarding manually:
external port number: choose a random 5-digit
internal port number: 32400
forward to internal IP: 192.168.1.4

Once this is created, go to your Plex Server settings
Settings - Server - Remote Access
tick the checkbox ‘Manually specify public port’ and put in the external port number you have defined in your port forwarding rule.
Click on Apply/Retry. Wait 30 seconds. Click on Retry again.

Then let it sit for a few minutes.

then go to canyouseeme.org and type in the external portnumber from your port forwarding there.
See if canyouseeme.org can reach your server.
If it does, all you need to do is wait a little more. Avoid shutting down or restarting the Plex Server.
