Not available outside your network and wrong public ip

Server Version#: 1.18.3.2129
Player Version#:

Hello!

Two strange things are happening and my Plex Server is not available outside my network:

  • the public IP address shown in Settings/Remote Access is not my Public IP address assigned to me by my ISP (checked in my router’s settings and with canyouseeme.org)
  • when I try to log into plex.tv, I have “API rate limit exceeded” or “Sign in has been temporarily disabled: too many failed attempts. Please try again later.” error messages

I have checked that I recognise all authorised devices.

What could it be? Is someone trying to hijack my username?

I think I found the origin of the wrong public IP: it seems linked to using Getflix DNS services. Now pointing to 1.1.1.1 as DNS and the public IP is correct.

And could also log into my Plex Account normally.
