Not available outside your network???

I updated the Plex server like it told me to and now I cant get it to be available outside my network? I’m running Plex on a Seagate Personal Cloud Version 1.4.3.3433 any help? I have tried everything I know which is basic trouble shooting.

I am having the same issue

Confirmed here also, was working fine at 1.4.2 and now I get errors at 1.4.3. I can confirm hitting 32400 from outside of my network is working fine.

Looks like you enable it, then it says “Fully accessible” for a few seconds then goes back to “Not available”.

Working for me now, @bmmjtrip and @capouto how about you guys?

nope mine still says not available from outside?? it does say “Fully accessible” for a few seconds then goes back to “Not available”.

I have the same problem here.

Tried going back to previous versions but that didn’t work either.

I’m having the same problem as Zerbey was. I’m running a Synology DS415+ running DSM 6.1-15047 and Plex 1.4.3.3433.
Remote Access reports not available outside of network, clicking on ‘Enable’ and or ‘Retry’ both result in a brief flash of the ‘Fully Accessible’ message and then returns to ‘Not Available Outside Your Network’

Interestingly though, some family members can log in (externally) despite it reporting unavailable and their Plex reports an “Indirect” connection. However some other family members just cant log in at all, cant find an similarities to those that can and cant access.

Tried checking port access on 32400 and it appears unavailable externally (Canyouseeme.org). Checked my firewall, AV, router, switch - all the usual and nothing is blocking my end, even rang my ISP and shouted at them, they state no blocks. I’ve even put the server in the DMZ… still no port access! I can only assume that its either the NAS blocking the port with the DSM software (cant find out how) or its a software issue between DSM & Plex… any ideas?

Been without external access now for nearly two weeks, please help!

What did you do Zerbey, if anything to get it going again?

very frustrating worked great for almost year then updated it and nothing but problems! can’t even get into plex half the time it seems to restart every few hours??

everything is connected to upgrade and may have to wait for plex to fix? surely not going to change all the settings on my computer and router trying to get it to work!

By bridging my modem to the router my server is available now online. thanks all your responses

I have the same issue as soon as I did the update it kept saying “Not available outside your network”. Is there a simple way to fix it without having to reconfigure a heaps of settings ?

*Update

Worked briefly toward the end of last week and has stopped again. Strangely without either Plex or DSM being updated or any settings being changed and with no intervention from me at all…

I just cant fathom WTF is going on…

I’ve got the same issue. Contrary to what richardnfarmer said, port 32400 IS available externally. Still not able available outside the network.

Hoping for an update or at least a response from a Plex employee, because it’s obviously broken at the moment.

I can acknowledge that there are timing issues that may lead to inaccurate reporting of the availability of access from outside the local network. The timing issues may arise when there are multiple attempts to retest the connection. This should not affect the actual availability of remote access and it is just the reporting that sometimes is wrong

To minimize the likelihood of this arising, please keep some time between attempts to retry and avoid rapid clicks of enable / disable or retry

Thank you for the quick reply. I will keep that in mind going forward. I hadn’t thought to see if it was only telling me it was broken.
