Not available outside your network

Server Version#: 9.1.1 (is that the correct info)?
Player Version#: 1.41.3.9314
<If providing server logs please do NOT turn on verbose logging, only debug logging should be enabled>

Plex has become unavailable outside of my home
Probably occurred when we switched from virgin to sky (new router etc)
Also a PS5 in the home, connected to wifi will not play media on the plex app, it connects, displays the content, tv and movie thumbnails etc, but will not play any programs

Did you already have a look at the related troubleshooting support article?

https://support.plex.tv/articles/200931138-troubleshooting-remote-access/

There’s also a guide with some more details on how to troubleshoot remote access issues.

If there’s an issue with remote access… is the PS5 on the same network/subnet as your server?

Is sky using ipv6?

I have looked at various articles and generally they are not easy to follow

I only have one network/router/Wi-Fi

How would I find this out?

Start with @tom80H’s suggestion

I already have, that’s why I posted a question

you can try:

Yes I appear to have ipv6

I am not saying it is this but it might be worth going in to Plex > Settings > Network and seeing if the Enable server support for IPv6 is checked and seeing if that helps.

I am assuming that you have set a DHCP reservation in the router for your server, and have opened port 32400 on it.

One thing I have also done on my server (under remote access) is manually specified the public port… I have set it to 32400 (default) but without that for some reason the outside world was saying it was offline.

IPv6 is already set to on

I have not done the reservation (certainly not deliberately)

I seem to have resolved the issues, thanks for the help

What was it?

Nice to close off a thread with a solution… just in case someone stumbles across it with the same problem.

I hadn’t been able to find shield listed on my router to enable the port forwarding.

After some more persistence, I eventually found it.

Applying the 32400 removed the not available error.

The PS5 also now connects.

Just need to test the connection, when I am at work and that should prove that everything is sorted

You might also check your local IP ranges too, the PS5 should have been able to connect locally. the most common issue is that you are not using standard IP addressing or are on different subnets.
