Found a random old episode of PBS’s Frontline series in my stuff today and added it to my server after renaming the fire for the correct episode info, but I’m not getting any metadata. The server added the series itself to my library (which was not there before), but did not load info for the one episode I had.
I saw the other recent thread about the issue with metadata so I tried quitting and relaunching the server, but no change from that. I’ve added a couple other things lately with no issues.
Edit: Haha. I just noticed it did load the rating for the program. Butnot the original air date, synopsis or thumbnail.
Okay, I have finally been able to upgrade to 1.40 here, and my issue remains. I did notice refreshing the metadata did cause the background image on the program to change, but I still did not get any title/synopsis for S19E11. Also the screenshots being used as the placeholder thumbmail is gone, too.
In addition, I also had a new problem happen a couple weeks back. I have a show currenly airing I’m adding. It’s on the second season now and I lost all the metadata for Season 2 when I tried a refresh on the series. When I say lost, I mean I had info for the episodes that had aired for the most part, except the most-recent one. It still had preliminary info of “TBA” for the episode title, and no synopsis. I tried to do a refresh on the series metadata to update this episode (I didn’t realize I could do that command for a single episode at the time). Anyway, the metadata refresh ran and instead of getting missing data all the episode data for other Season 2 episodes disappeared instead. Season 1 remained fine. The info exists on watch.plex.tv, just not loading here,
I have already tried removing the series completely from my server, emptying trash and cleaning bundles, and then readding it from scratch. I get the same results. Only metadata for season one and not season 2.
That is a really dumb setup for naming, but it also seems to be the only completed episode listing order for the program. Changed to TMDB for the show ordering and that fixed it. Thanks.
That just leaves my new second issue. I checked just now to make someone hadn’t decided to split off season 2 into a separate show and both theTVDB and TMDB are listing it as a season 2.
I’m resolved this somewhat now. The issue seems to be the alternate numbering order I had set on the series for when it was just one season before. When season 2 started airing I was getting the metadata for season 2 fine but I’ve had to change back the the Airing order to get things back now.
