I have ST:TNG on my server. PLEX sees it, pulled down all the metadata as usual, except for the episode titles. I have the Agents set up properly (personal is either off or at the bottom or below TVDB). The episode titles remain just the file name.
Does it matter that I have all the episodes in 1 folder? I don’t have them divided up by seasons. It’s never mattered for any of the other shows I have, and PLEX is still detecting the seasons properly. It’s just not pulling down the episode titles.
What agent are you using for this library?
The server-wide agent settings only apply to legacy agents – the current-generation Plex TV Series agent is configured per library (e.g. ⋮ > Manage Library > Edit... → Advanced > Prefer local metadata).
It’s beneficial if you organize episodes in season folders – though that won’t be causing the effect you’re seeing.
