I did see messages in your logs related to language defaulting back to en-US.
Sorry I couldn’t be of more help and at the risk of making things worse I’ll not make any more suggestions. I do think the chmod you ran earlier has fixed at least some things as you main server log is much cleaner now. Albeit the core issue you reported is still happening.
I just wonder why it takes en-US als defaulting language while German is set as the default language everywhere.

BTW… Have you tried the nuclear approach? Backup your plexmediaserver and then uninstall plex including manually deleting all plexmediaserver files and installing from scratch. If everything worked as you expect then while not ideal could get you back up and running again.
If it didn’t fix the issue then at least you can restore your backup.

But I was looking at my agents and the plex movie agent. I assume your country is still set to Germany and didn’t get changed somehow ?
This would be different to the language settings so might be worth a look.
It was always set to german.
BTW: again i get many errors in the logfiles and refreshing metadata takes way too much time.

I just fixed this problem on a Docker installation that I’d moved from a previous Windows installation. Deleting all HTTPCookies fixed it.

I have kind of the same problem and have been looking for hours now to find a way to solve it… I’m using Windows 10 and my files are stored on an external SSD drive. Plex is autmatically detecting the movies and nicely putting the actors list and the synopsis. The poster remains Black. When i go to edit the poster, i can see that plex found many poster but is not showing them. (I can say that cause if i go to another movie I can see more or less of those black boxes I can choose from). This exact same problem happens with local data to. if i’m selecting the poster manually with the plex app then it works. But if one day i want to move the library its not the way to go…
Can you please help me out ?

The weird thing is that Services.Bundle is not even there in that directory. It was owned by root so I have changed that to the user. It doesn’t appear to have made any difference. Still not getting any posters for Movies.
Can you give u san updates logs file. 
? maybe there are more things hidden in there after the first error is solved.

For the first one: Make sure plex.direct is configured in the route ras described here:https://support.plex.tv/articles/206225077-how-to-use-secure-server-connections/ (DNS Rebind)
for the second I found some similar problems in the forum here. But most of them are just suggesting to reinstall plex from scratch if possible (new docker image or else).
maybe someone else here has ideas to this error message.
Is the server even starting up correctly now?
So everything is still running just fine. The server is set up to be “preferred” secure. I have tried rebuilding it from scratch and I found the exact same problem. I have even tried older docker images.
Annoyingly I just tried refreshing the metadata on 1 of my films and it worked. Got excited and tried the rest and it is still failing. Arghhhhh
Same annoying problem here, affecting Movies and TV shows. Server version is 1.19.1.2630
Deleting HTTPCookies or deleting whole Plugin support folder do not help.
Emptying trash in each library do not help.
Optimising database, cleaning bundles, rebooting the server do not help.
There are still some Shows / Movies which never download any posters, only metadata (any agent).
Some shows have poster on season, but not on the show itself.
Some Movies/Shows show poster on local network but on remote acces they are blank.
