Using TheTVDB on my library.

What’s happening :
Since the recent addition of a show in my PMS, a lot more posters were uploaded and favorited (API V3 “votes”) on thetvdb that caused the main and seasons posters to change. Several weeks after refreshing metadata still doesn’t change my main or seasons default posters. Despite the new posters having correctly being downloaded and displayed in posters lists available to manually change.
What I’m expecting:
When refreshing metadata of my tv show, if the first poster of the metadata source (thetvdb) has changed, and if the main poster (or season poster) was not manually edited (and so locked), the default poster (or season default poster) is changed to reflect the one most favorited on thetvdb.
Exactly like described in this post and this post.
Infos:
- Happening on several shows freshly added and not edited at all, so I suppose with their poster unlocked.
- I know that plex have cache proxy of 24-48h for thetvdb.
- I know my PMS have a local cache, I removed thetvdb Agent HTTP Cache.
- after all that I also tried on a completely new test library: picked up same old posters than my main tv shows library
- sonarr correctly displays new posters so it’s either in plex thetvdb cache proxy or in my local thetvdb cache, but since I deleted my local cache I tentatively suggest that there’s a problem in your proxy ?
Yes I know it’s far-fetched.
