just a spinning yellow arrow. what’s wrong? it worked last night…
Kinda hard to say, with the info you provided
So are we talking about:
- Plex Media Server?
- If so, what version and OS
- Some kinda player?
- If so, what player and version?
- Remote or local?
In general, the clue is in the details
Sorry, I was kinda annoyed…
OS is OpenSuSE Leap 15
Plex Version is 3.83.1
App is on the Fire TV Stick
Web player works fine, so I know it’s not a networking issue (or a NAS prob).
Oh, Plex server version might be 1.15.3.876.
Then I guess the spinning wheel is due to a transcode taking place
And you stated the Web Client version…
PMS version can be seen by visiting:
http://<IP_OF_PMS>:32400/identity
Also, we need you to make sure, that PMS is in debug logging only, and NOT Verbose, then reproduce, followed by uploading the logs as well as staing the name of the media you tried to play
That’s kinda old, please upgrade first
Upgraded to 1.16.5.1554. Still a yellow spinning arrow on the Fire TV Stick.
Then back to:
Where do you see the log level? Also, any media (mp4, avi, etc.) in any of my libraries.
Here’s how to gather debug Log Files
Well, sorry for all the panic folks. It seems to be working fine today. I wondered if it might have had something to do with an internet connection hiccup, but browsing the internet was working fine while the Plex stuff wasn’t able to play. I did notice that my HDHomeRun tuners were not working at the same time as the Plex stuff yesterday. I guess it was just something weird and temporary with my ISP.
I appreciate the replies and help from everyone. And next time I’ll post in the correct forum category. And now I know how the grab the logs as well. Thanks again!
