NOW I have to Login to get device connections? WTF

All of a sudden I have to login to my plex account to get my FireTV’s to see my Plex server?

Why?

You should be able to hit the >> on the sign in screen to skip it. It can’t discover the server over GDM so you need to enter the the server’s local IP in the manual connection settings

BigWheel, that’s what I’m normally used but after a July 30th update, all I get after it can’t find the server is retry/go home/sign in/exit.

retry results in the same error
go home results in the same error
sign in does work but I’ve not needed it before
exit back to Fire TV’s homepage

No where does it allow me to enter an IP for my Plex server. It’s an endless loop of errors, exits until I sign in then it finds it fine.

More info on my setup as follows:

Fire TV v5.2.1.0
Plex App v4.29.1.7
Plex Server 1.0.3.2461

It worked without logging in before a factory reset of Fire TV and re-installation of the app a couple days ago.
It’s not a big deal to login, just less configuration on my part since i have 3 Fire TVs plus various mobile devices with the Plex app.

Well, not a big deal until the Plex site is unavailable.

I am able to add a manual server IP after I login to the app at which point I can logout and still get to my media.
Seems like there is a button missing that would allow me to do this instead of the error loop I’m encountering.
