Nvidea Shield server and ports

Hi guys I’m struggling to open and forward a port to my Nvidea Shield… At most, it opens for 3 seconds then goes to red and I’m limited to the 2mb service.
My setup is obviously Nvidea Shield with Plex server with storage on a seperate hard drive.
I’ve tried to open up and create a rule for the plex, do I also have to do the same for the network hard drive and would it perhaps be better to have a nas server that does it all in one box

You only need to forward the port on your router to the device hosting your Plex Media Server. The remote access status indicator going „red“ after a few seconds means it’s not working to begin with … that’s just Plex indicating the status as „green“ while it’s checking the status.

Did you already have a look at the related troubleshooting support article?

There’s also a guide with some more details

I think my ISP, YouFibre might need to give me a Static IP. It seems they don’t do port forwarding on IPv4

You don’t need a static ip address from your ISP. Just a publicly routable one… there’s no harm if they assign you a different one from time to time.

Most ISPs will happily offer you a static IP though… at a hefty price point.
