+1 for updating exoplayer (new version from google has this fixed) Been forced to use Kodi for vast majority of my viewing.

This is the only thing that hinders me from getting a lifetime pass, ssa/ass support. Also noted this issue on a samsung tv on early access version. Had to leave early access to render ssa/ass properly.

Also hoping this will get implemented soon. Right now it forces PMS to transcode everything with .ASS, putting unnecessary load on the server.
