I use the Plex app on a 2017 NVIDIA SHIELD without server functionality in combination with a Synology Diskstation. Plex Web runs smoothly, but the Android SHIELD app is a nightmare. I can confirm the same instability issues and have tried all the workarounds without success. The app is currently unusable for me. Please restore stability!
