Nvidia Shield - Can't start PMS V.1.23.4.4805

Hi, after update my PMS to 1.23.4.4805-186bae04e version on my Ndvidia Shield 2017 (with Shield Android TV v. 8.2.3), the PMS did’t start anymore.
As other post here, i tried everithing, from downgrade plex versions (player and server), delete authorized devices in https://app.plex.tv/desktop, restore the shield to fabric settings, and tried any combinations of possible solutions that you might think, but nothing worked.

When i try to make a new configuration of plex (enable local server, configure default libraries, grant access rights), the media player tell’s me that everithing is ok, but when it starts there is no plex server at all under “My Media” (Mis Medios)

I attach the server log’s from a newly fresh install.

I appreciate someone who can tell me what else I can do.

I’m having the same issue, updated PMS to the latest version from Google Play and now it won’t start.

Hi ajsultandev, maybe you could attach your server logs too in order to provide more info. Perhaps someone take all the info and find a solution. In this case i think that if we provide more info. it’ll be better.

Hi, I just did an update of the server to the version 1.23.5.4862-0f739d462, but everything remains the same. I attach again de server log’s.

Finally, after repeating the downgrading process several times a new version of PMS, I finally managed to start it.

So i managed to get it working again.
Process i followed was…

  1. Downgrade plex to old verision, this takes both plex and server down to oldest version and the server option appears but doesnt work.
  2. Update the Plex client but NOT the server
  3. restart shield TV
  4. check to see if plex server is now available, if it is then run it, it will probably go through all of the setup screens but will not actually run
  5. now upgrade to the latest plex server version
  6. now you should be able to go into plex and start the server.

This worked for me, hope it helps others.

Just to let you know, I follow the steps from wolf02 and it worked. Did exactly what he said and worked.
