Nvidia Shield client hangs after ad skip

The Plex client on the Nvidia Shield often hangs after ad skip while playing a DVR recording. When the client hangs, the app stops responding. The only way to resume is to exit playback and re-start from the beginning, then manually advance to where the hang occurred.

The video is from the Plex DVR, recorded via HDHomeRun tuner. On the Shield, it is direct play of 1080i (MPEG2VIDEO).

Playback of the SAME FILE via Chrome browser on a laptop works perfectly. All ad skips work perfectly; the Plex web client on Chrome plays back the video perfectly.

Hangs only occur with the Plex client on the Nvidia Shield (2019 tube) which has a 256 GB micro SD card installed as device storage.

For the last couple weeks, I also see this on my Shield from time to time, but it seems random.

I’ve found that "Back"ing out of the show, and then just hitting Resume generally picks up after the commercial I tried skipping…

Sam thing happens to me on a 2019 Shield Pro. Driving me nuts.
