Nvidia shield no long sleeps at end of video

At the end of a video plex used to end the video then eventually the shield would go to sleep and turn my TV off in case I fell asleep. But since a few months ago first plex wouldn’t end the video at all with a frozen last frame which prevented sleep. Lately it ends the videos now but it still doesn’t allow the shield to go to sleep.

Is anyone else having this issue?

Also, my server is on a synology Nas, I just use the Nvidia shields as a player (I have the new pro and the 2017 pro and the issue happens on both)

I have this same issue. Temp fix is to revert to old video player (see settings).

Phone stays on after playing video until battery is completely drained. It was reported for mobile, but it also happens on Android TV.

Edit - It’s being looked at by the devs, but I don’t have an ETA for a fix.
