NVIDIA Shield Plex App not working with QNAP Plex Media Server

Server Version#: 1.21.1.3876
Player Version#: 8.13.0.22986

So this is driving me a bit nuts. I have two NVIDIA SHIELD TV Pro devices and a QNAP NAS that is running Plex Media Server (locally - not signed in to Plex or anything else). I’m able to access the Plex Media Server from the Plex apps on my phone and tablet as well as through the web interface on my computer. Everything is on the same local network.

One one of the two SHIELD’s, I had previously pinned the folders/libraries for Movies and TV Shows so I could access them from the main screen, and they still worked. On the other SHIELD, when I click “More”, I see the name of the QNAP NAS, but there is a triangle next to it with an exclamation point in it and I can’t expand it or see any of the shared folders/libraries. I’ve tried rebooting NAS and SHIELD and even uninstalling and reinstalling Plex app and no-go. However, if I do an “uninstall updates” on the Plex app on the “bad” SHIELD (which apparently rolls it back to a very early version), I can then access the shared folders/libraries. But updating it back to the latest version breaks it again. So I’m thinking something is going on with the latest app version and it not liking my Plex Media Server on the NAS maybe?

Any thoughts on how to fix? Thanks!

Plex Media Server version is : 1.21.1.3876 (not yet updated to latest version since QNAP’s app store hasn’t rolled out the update yet - I could manually update but would prefer not to do that since I don’t know if it might break future updates through QNAP’s app store)

NVIDIA SHIELD TV Pro app version is: 8.13.0.22986 (at least this is what I see in lower right corner when going to settings in the Plex app on the SHIELD)

Weirdly enough, going to the “Home” menu and then clicking the 3 dots menu option and choosing “reset all customization” fixed this for me and restored the local plex media server shared folders/libraries…go figure.
