NVIDIA shield Plex server- after upgrade to latest OS build, transcoding fails

SHIELD ANDROID OS# 8.2.3(32.6.518.0)
Player Version#: tried on WEB OS , IOS

Hello Folks,
Once I upgraded SHIELD to mentioned version, players (any player, IOS, WEB OS LG TV) are able to play when server streams in “Direct Mode”
Once servers tried to transcode - playback fails - In most cases I only hear audio, but no video, in some cases not even Audio
Checking dashboard I see “transcoding HW”. Does not show to what resolution it tries to transcode
I have verbose mode logs, but if only debug mode is needed, please let me know - I can upload

It was working without glitch until I upgraded to latest ANDROID OS

You are not alone, I have the same problems with the last PMS version on the Shield. It works again with version 1.24.5.5173.

After upgrading to OS, PLEX server I had was version 1.24.5.xxx and it did not work at all
Then I upgraded PLEX server to 1.25.2.5319. Now it works only on “direct mode”. Transcoding fails.
Did you re-install 1.24.5.xxxx? I am not sure if I have a choice to pick any version fro “Google play”
I wonder what Plex developers would say on this issue. Are they aware of it

Yeah they broke this with the recent updates, I heard going back to versions pre 1.24 fixes it but I haven’t tested it myself.

Im Playstore kannst du dir keine Version auswählen. Ich hab sie von apkmirror. Zuerst habe ich PMS auf der Shield gelöscht und über „Send Files to TV“ die ältere Version auf dem Shield installiert. Ich habe dann die Datenbank wieder nach Anleitung importiert.

Upgraded to latest Nvidia 9.0 and PMS to latest one.
Reset NVIDIA to factory. Now I am getting stuck in “Plex server is starting for first time, please wait” screen. Should I open a new thread?

Upgraded Shield to :SHIELD ANDROID OS# 9.0.0(33.1.0.236)
Reset the Shield
Installed the latest PMS: 1.25.3.5385
Followed up this thread to install new server:
