I just want to report a bug.
I recently bought a nvidia shield and installed plex server.
I already used it in a Synology NAS 418+ for some years but I wanted to try it on a shield pro (I test transcoding on it and it works faster than the NAS).
I have a lot of media but when I created them on the NAS, it worked fine with no errors.
On other hand, on the Shield, sometimes, PMS crashed when creating some libraries. I noticed that it crashed when adding specific medias.
I spent hours to find the reason of the crash.
I use XBMCnfo plugins because of some documentaries/tutorials I have. My first thought was that it crashes because of the plugin or maybe because Android have 255 characters limits (really don’t know).
I noticed the medias which cause the errors have the extension name with all CAPS.
I renamed them to small caps and no more errors.
So I just wanted to inform you about this. I really don’t know if it’s a PMS bug or just an android thing. It’s not the plugin because in the NAS, everything works fine.
