A few days ago NVIDIA was updated with Android 11 version 9 and ever since cannot get PLEX MEADIA SERVER or the app to work have spent days at it. Will this be looked at as I dont think I am the only one.Basically PLEX has become non functioning at all?

I don’t use the media server and only use the Plex app which is not working. When you start it up it dies after about 30 seconds even without touching it. I don’t see that being addressed in the thread link where I also posted.

Apparently the plex app doesn’t automatically update so you have to go in and do it from the google page.

Hi all. I have managed to get plex fully working. I un installed both Plex app and Plex server. Then I re installed the app, followed by the Plex server. Then I went into the permissions section on the nvidia shield and followed the advice on multiple web sites to change the permission to Allow All The Time, this needs to be done for the App AND the Plex Server. The Plex server app is in the System Apps (on Nvidia Shield). and is not saved in the same location as the Plex App. This managed to get plex set up.I then needed to log into Plex account on Windows PC and re set Music/Video folders location. I then updated the folders whilst logged in on the windows PC. This look abit of time. Once Music Videos were loaded back correctly I then opened up Plex on NVidia Shield and at the moment all working OK. Only issue for me is the SMB access to transfer files over the network from PC. I have read this is a permissions issue which would correspond to the Window error message saying I do not have permission to access the ANDROID folder where of course everything is saved. So I can see the folder on in SHIELD whilst my Windows PC, but I cannot access it. I note there is a hot fix for this but I will wait until it gets fixed properly, unless someone else has found a solution? Hope this makes sense . many thanks. And good luck.
So NVidia has issued a Hotfix for the latest Android v9.0 upgrade for external device issues and other issues. Official email from Nvidia support
