Off-Center Black and White Playback on iPad/iPhone App

Video on iPad and iPhone is shifted to the left and is in black and white with vertical lines. I’ve also seen it be black and white and staticky, though that is less common. The issue doesn’t happen from the website or Apple TV. I’ve updated both devices to the current version of iOS 18, I’ve deleted and reinstalled the app and it is the current version. This isn’t happening with every item, but a lot of them. All files I’ve tried to play are MP4.

Has anyone else had this issue? Does anyone have any suggestions of anything to try? This new app UI is terrible and the app itself on mobile barely works.

What information is showing in the “now playing” tile for that playback on the Plex server dashboard? Specifically, are the videos showing this behavior being transcoded (hw or regular transcoding)?

I’m not 100% sure I understand what you’re seeing in your iOS app.

Oops, sorry, I forgot to include the screen grab.

This is what I’m seeing on screen. From the dashboard screen grabs, Addams Family isn’t working, but Shrek is.
