Same problem, no offline playlists! what’s the deal why no response Plex?
Plex, why is there no resolution to this?. This issue is almost collectively a year old.
Reporting the same issue, just tried using this again and nothing
You would think if you download a playlist that you can use the playlist. February 16, 2021 and I see this has been an issue for a long time. Getting ready to go to Mexico for two months and NO playlists.
I paid for Plex Pass and I am extremely disappointed with this.
I downloaded PlexAmp to my iPad, did a search for the playlist while connected to the server, was able to download the playlist. I then put into airplane mode, went to the download icon at the bottom of the screen, the playlist was there and I played it offline. I prefer the Plex app interface, but this works for having your playlist offline.
Same issue…
Any updates or even a response on this, Plex? Latest version of the app running on iPhone and still no playlists available offline despite having several playlists successfully synced.
I have been having this same issue for months now too. I use the playlist offline to listen to music in my car. This feature not working is unacceptable Plex! I’m running Plex on a Pixel 3 android.
Same issue, also a paid member, same frustration… 6 months of having the product not do what I purchased it for… remember the days when companies felt obligated to create a good product?
Same here. Paid member, and this is one of the most basic features that I need to make this useful.
Same issue here on iOS. With a large music collection, playlists are essential to how I consume it since I rarely listen to a full album. I purchased a Plex membership specifically so I could download my playlists to listen while driving in the car. Now that it’s been removed, I’m looking down at my phone every other song to find the next one. This is a horrible decision, that is only made worse by Plex’s silence on the issue.
My issue with offline video playlists seems to be fixed with v7.1.14 on iOS.
I noted that offline video playlists are available in the “items” section.
If I press “play” it works as expected. If I press the “shuffle” icon it plays and I can also use “next” button to skip to the next video.
However, pressing a video to play it only plays that video, and you cannot skip to the next one with the “next” button, it’s greyed out. I don’t know if that is expected behavior or not.
That behavior is kind of irritating since I tend to jump around in playlists and the let it play. Kind of like shuffle except I choose which video plays first.
@elan any update on if this will work? Or a feature in PlexAmp, so it’s possible to go flight mode and see playlists and actually play them?
The funny thing is that PlexAmp actually supports it already and in such a superior way. Almost embarrassing. It is super stable and the sync is blazing fast, much faster than plex natively (if it works).
Problem with PlexAmp is it won’t let you download all your music for you to keep like the native Plex app will
Is that all your music?
Problem is:
PlexAmp will let you download playlists but not the whole music library
Plex (native) will let you download whole music library but not playlists
Hence neither provide a complete solution…
Oh I see. Well you could create an automatic playlist with a filter that matches everything. Then, sync that playlist.
Yes, but still doesn’t do it. Then you would only be able to play everything - or nothing. No selection by album, artist, genre etc.
I have this issue where the videos or sync’d onto my mobile but not into the playlists I’ve created if the the app is offline. How do we tag Plex to keep pushing this issue?
