"Once Upon a Deadpool" cannot be picked up

Server Version#: 1.14.1.5488
Player Version#: Any

Dear Devs,

I have put up a file, “Once Upon a Deadpool (2018) - 1920x800.mkv” in a folder named “Once Upon a Deadpool (2018)” under a movie root directory of PMS movie library.
I have watched the mkv file and it played perfectly fine on my iPad or Mac under VLC.

However, both copies of PMS running on Synology DSM 6.2.1-23824 Update 4 and FreeNAS 11.2-U1 do not pick it it and index it. All other movies stored in the above structure are picked up without problems, including the original of the above movie, “Deadpool 2”. I am sure both the folder and the file are readable by both PMS.

Please take a look.

Thank you.

I am using a development version of PMS and don’t have metadata at the moment but basic matching. when you have the names correct, works.

Your naming , if you wish to keep the resolution info, must be hidden from Plex.

“Once Upon a Deadpool (2018) - 1920x800.mkv”

becomes

“Once Upon a Deadpool (2018) [1920x800].mkv”

Make sure Debug logging is enabled, and then do the Plex Dance

After that, upload a zip with the logs

Thanks for your prompt reply, Dane22!

The reason I used dash to separate the quality was suggested on the support page Multi-Version Movies. You may want to update the page. By the way, I have not found any mention of using square brackets to hide the extra information from PMS. How about creating a support page for it as well?

Regarding the particular issue, I have followed your suggestion and renamed all my movies libraries. It does help both PMS picking up a few missed movies. Thank you.

Unfortunately, “Once Upon a Deadpool” is still missing.

The “Once Upon a Time in America” has no problem shown on the PMS library but “Once Upon a Deadpool” does not.

Here are my logs with Debug logging enabled.

Thanks trumpy81!

It was grouped with Deadpool 2 as you said. I have split them as your instructions. It worked great! Thanks! :+1:t3:

Thanks a ton, trumpy 81!

I’m having the same issue with “Once upon a Deadpool”, and attempted renaming the file a few different ways, as well as matching with both Plex Movie and TMDb. It only grabs a screenshot from the movie and that’s it.
Using a windows server client (1.15.4.919) on a dedicated virtual machine. I feel like I must be missing something simple here… but all of my other movies match so easily, I’m just puzzled at the moment.

Thanks. Very helpful reply there.
The only other suggestion I saw from this thread was to ‘un-stack’ it from Deadpool 2. That was the first thing I did prior to posting here.

Interesting… I just tried a fix match on mine using the Plex Movie agent and picked the first match and it lost the cover and all meta data.

I then did a fix match again, and in Search Options choose The Movie Database Agent and the artwork and metadata came back.

Might be worth a try…

Yes… I can see it is for Synology. If the inner workings of the application actually differ that far from Synology application vs Windows server, then my apologies for the monumental mistake on my part.

@blim5001 - thanks for the suggestion! I attempted that a few times earlier, going back and forth between Plex Movie and TMDb, just tried it again, still no luck :frowning:
